Traveling During Pregnancy

Guidelines in Air Traveling During Pregnancy | The following table is divided into 3 parts ; Pregnancy up to 32 weeks (Less than 8 months), Pregnancy between 32 and 36 weeks, Pregnancy 36 weeks and above.
Pregnancy up to 32 weeks (Less than 8 months) Considered as no different from an ordinary customer, unless recommended from a doctor to stay away air travel.
Pregnancy between 32 and 36 weeks Three copies of an obstetrician's medical certificate (1 original document and 2 copied documents) must be submitted. It should include suitability of the expectant mother to travel by plane, her expected date of delivery, any sign of delivery as well as complications related to pregnancy, and precautions during the flight.
Pregnancy 36 weeks and above Needs an approval from the healthcare service team to travel by plane and has to be accompanied by a guardian.

※ In case of any complications related to pregnancy, the expectant mother must receive an approval from the healthcare service team for air travel, regardless of how many weeks she has been pregnant for.

Necessary Documents for a Pregnant Customer's Air Travel

  • Three copies of an obstetrician's medical certificate (1 original document and 2 copied documents)
    • Pregnancy between 32 and 36 weeks : An obstetrician's medical certificate within 7 days before air travel.
    • Pregnancy 36 weeks and above : An obstetrician's medical certificate within 3 days before air travel.
    • The medical certificate must include the following contents : Suitability of the expectant mother to travel by plane, her expected date of delivery, any sign of delivery as well as complications related to pregnancy, and precautions during the flight.
  • A Written Oath
    • Must be written and submitted at the airport.
